
Flex Equity-Mezzanine Debt | 6-month internship
SWEN Capital Partners is seeking to reinforce its Mezzanine debt team by hiring a Flex Equity / Mezzanine debt fund Intern (F/M) in its Paris office
Our Flex team is comprised of 5 members with a proven track record in a mix of sponsorless and sponsored led transactions. Recent transactions completed: Agora Makers, public lighting and furniture (deal alongside Hivest) ; Mitem Pharma, pharma company (deal alongside Techlife Capital) ; Alpha Group, waterproofing & roofing (deal with Raise) ; Redpill, data consulting (sponsorless deal) ; JL&P, design & architectural company (sponsorless deal).
Main duties
Interns will be fully on boarded on ongoing live transactions and granted a significant degree of exposure and responsibility, contributing to day-to-day execution alongside the wider deal teams. Responsibilities will specifically include (amongst others):
- Participation in investment analyses (due diligence, market studies, financial analyses and ESG aspects), financial modelling, deal discussions and negotiations
- Participation in the drafting of memorandums for the Investment Committee
- Presentation of investment opportunities to the Investment Committee
- Contribution to the follow-up of the deal flow
Experience required
Prior experience in leveraged finance, transaction services, private equity, debt advisory or M&A at top tier boutiques or investment banks will be viewed favourably.
Skills required
- Strong and genuine interest in the private equity and private debt markets and willingness to follow a career path in this space in the medium term
- Knowledge and interest in ESG and responsible investment
- Solid equity and credit analysis skills
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles
- Proficiency in both English and French is required
- Excellent MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
