Traceless® opens industrial facility to advance natural polymer solutions

Accueil » News » Traceless® opens industrial facility to advance natural polymer solutions

At SWEN Blue Ocean, we invest in companies that turn major environmental challenges into scalable industrial solutions.

This is exactly what traceless® is achieving today with the opening of the world’s first industrial-scale production facility for thermoplastic natural polymers designed to replace fossil-based plastics.
Using plant-based residues from the agricultural industry, traceless® has developed a bio-based, home-compostable material — not classified as plastic by definition — that can replace conventional plastics in applications where recycling remains difficult, such as packaging, paper coatings, adhesives, and single-use products.

The inauguration of this facility in Hamburg marks a major milestone in the fight against plastic pollution:

  • 91% lower CO₂ emissions compared to conventional plastics,
  • production based on renewable feedstocks and local supply chains,
  • and a technology designed to accelerate the transition toward a truly circular bioeconomy in Europe.

We are proud to support traceless® and the vision led by Dr. Anne Lamp and her team as they scale this groundbreaking technology.

Industrial breakthroughs like this are essential to reducing our dependence on fossil resources and building a cleaner, more resilient future.

Congratulations to the entire traceless® team, their partners, and everyone contributing to this new generation of sustainable materials
