The purpose of this Cookie Policy relating to the use of cookies is to inform users of the website www.SWEN Capital Partners.com (hereinafter the “Site”) published by our company (hereinafter the “Publisher”) about the use of cookies on this site (hereinafter “Cookie(s)”) and the means available to them to oppose such use. It supplements the information available in the information banner on the Site (hereinafter the “Banner”) and the Cookie consent management tool (hereinafter the “Consent Management Tool”).

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a computer file or tracker that is deposited and read, in particular, when a website or mobile application is consulted, regardless of the type of terminal used (computer, smartphone, mobile phone, etc.). The following cookie technologies are used by the site:

  • HTTP cookies (or connection cookies): set of information deposited on the hard disk of your terminal (computer, telephone, tablet, etc.) by a server when you visit a website. They are listed in a subdirectory of your browser’s folder and are then sent back to the server each time you make a new request.
  • Flash cookies (or local shared object): set of information deposited on your terminal’s hard disk by a server when you visit a website and managed by the Adobe Flash Player plug-in. They are listed in a subdirectory of the Flash Player plug-in folder and are then sent back to the server each time you make a new request.
Web beacons (or invisible pixels): computer code that tells your browser to make a request to a server that will store information about the origin of this request (in particular by storing the computer referent) and that will deposit a small transparent image on your terminal’s hard disk, along with other HTTP and/or Flash cookies. Pixels as image files are listed in a subdirectory of your browser’s folder.
  • Execution of JavaScript codes: pieces of computer code in JavaScript language received after a request has been made to a server and executed by your browser in order to collect information relating to your terminal and its use.

The use of cookies on a website or mobile application is governed by specific regulations, in particular by article 82 of Law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data processing, data files and individual liberties (hereinafter the “Data Processing and Individual Liberties Law”). Under the terms of these provisions, the deposit and/or use of cookies by a site are subject, save in exceptional circumstances, to the prior consent of the user.

What type of cookies do we use?

The cookies used by this site may fall into different categories:

  • Category 1: “essential” technical and/or functional cookies (mandatory)
The sole purpose of these cookies is to enable or facilitate communication by electronic means and/or are strictly necessary for the provision of an online communication service at the express request of the user. In particular, they make it possible to offer you a better online experience of the Site, to enable you to remember your preferences for configuring the Site, to obtain your consent or your opposition to the deposit of non-essential Cookies and to ensure the proper functioning and security of the Site.
Given their essential nature for the proper operation of the Site and in accordance with article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, these cookies are not subject to the user’s consent. They are therefore activated by default and cannot be deactivated using the consent management tool.
  • Category 2: audience measurement cookies (non-essential)
These cookies help us to better understand visitors’ interactions with our site, to identify the channels through which they arrive on the Site, to highlight the segments of the Site that are heavily or lightly consulted and to generate anonymous statistics relating to its use which enable us to improve the Site and the services it offers. Not activating these cookies would prevent us from studying how you interact with our site and, in the long term, from offering content tailored to our visitors’ expectations.
These cookies are subject to the prior consent of the user under the conditions set out in the paragraph “What means do you have to oppose the use of cookies?
  • Category 3: advertising cookies (non-essential)
These cookies make it possible to personalise the advertising offered on the Internet to users of our site according to their centres of interest. Not activating these cookies will not reduce the frequency of the advertisements offered to you during your browsing, but will prevent us from personalising them according to your centres of interest.
These cookies are subject to the prior consent of the user under the conditions set out in the paragraph “What means do you have to oppose the use of cookies?
  • Category 4: social network cookies (non-essential)
These Cookies enable our visitors to interact with the social modules present on the Site and are likely to collect information relating to their Internet browsing. Not activating these Cookies would prevent you from interacting with the social networks via our Site.
These cookies are subject to the prior consent of the user under the conditions set out in the paragraph “What means do you have to oppose the use of cookies?

How long are cookies stored?

When cookies are placed on your terminal, they may be retained by your terminal:

For the duration of the current session, i.e. until you close your browser (session cookies). This period concerns so-called “essential” (mandatory) technical and/or functional cookies, as well as audience measurement cookies.
Or for a predetermined period running from the date and time the Cookie is deposited on your terminal: the storage period may not exceed thirteen (13) months (persistent Cookies).

The retention period for each cookie is specified in the paragraph below entitled “Listing of cookies currently used on our site”.

How can you object to the use of cookies?

A “Accept all” button allows you to consent to the use of all cookies used on the site.

A “Continue without accepting” link allows you to oppose the use of all cookies used on the site (with the exception of so-called essential cookies, which are not subject to consent). When the user chooses to click on the “Continue without accepting” link, this choice is interpreted as a refusal.

A “Personalise my choices” button provides access to the consent management table, enabling users to manage their preferences according to the category of purpose of the cookies. These settings are made by means of switches. The switch relating to so-called essential cookies is activated by default and cannot be deactivated. The switches corresponding to the other purposes of cookies are deactivated by default and can be activated by the user.

With the exception of cookies that are not subject to consent (technical and operating cookies), the placement and/or implementation of a category of cookie on the site only takes place on condition that the user has accepted either all cookies (“Accept all” button) or the category of cookies specifically concerned (“Personalise my choices” button).

How can you change your choice?

Your choice is taken into account on the basis of an essential cookie (not subject to consent) kept for a period of 6 months. Your choice will be requested again at the end of this period. You can also freely configure your choice at any time using the consent management tool at the bottom right of the web page.
