Schroders Greencoat, the specialist in renewable energy and energy transition infrastructure within Schroders Capital, has acquired 100% of APF Energy.
Based in the Netherlands, APF Energy is a fast-growing biomethane platform producing biomethane from agricultural manure and food by-products.
The acquisition was completed from SWEN Capital Partners, via our direct impact strategy #SWIFT, and from APF BV, on behalf of its global strategy and semi-liquid funds.
This transaction also marks the first exit of our second vintage, SWEN Impact Fund for Transition 2 (SWIFT 2), fully illustrating our strategy of supporting high-quality platforms in the renewable molecules sector.
We are delighted to have supported APF Energy since its early days, helping to build a robust and fast-growing platform.
Schroders Greencoat’s recognized expertise in bioenergy and energy transition infrastructure makes it the ideal partner to support the next phase of APF Energy’s development.
