The SWEN team behind the Blue Ocean fund embarked on an inspiring journey!
Last week, the Blue Ocean Fund SWEN team emraked on an inspiring journey into the ocean science and sustainabilty during their seminar trip to La Seyne-sur-Mer (24-26 February)
A key moment was their viist to the Mediterranean center of IFREMER the French National Institute for Ocean Science and Technolog, where they learned from one of their valued scientif partners. Guided by Vincent Rigaud, Director of IFREMER they explored the underwater vehicles department, wher they stood face-to-face with legendary vessels like the Nautile — famous fot its role in Titanic explorations.🚢
Beyond technology, discussions dove deep into biodiversity regeneration, exploring new methods to restore fish populations and marine ecosystems. These conversations reinforced their commitment to supporting innovative solutions for healthier oceans.
The journey continued on the Île des Embiez, where the team took in the island’s stunning coastal trails. Some even took a literal plunge, diving into the Mediterranean to witness its rich marine life.🐠🌊
Experiences like these serve as a reminder that ocean conservation isn’t just a mission – it’s a shared
responsibility.🌍
