SWEN Blue Ocean is a direct impact strategy investing in innovations that help regenerate ocean biodiversity, hence contributing to achieve SDG #14.
Delivering systemic impact and competitive market returns. SWEN Blue Ocean backs startups that deliver both systemic impact and competitive market returns. Our focus is on solutions to overfishing, ocean pollution and marine solutions to climate change.
Our first fund, was launched at the World Conservation Congress of the IUCN in 2021, in scientific partnership with Ifremer. SWEN Blue Ocean 2 was launched at the UN Ocean Conference in June 2025. Your main tasks
- Support the SWEN Blue Ocean team across their duties, including:
- Dealflow generation and analysis (sourcing of investment opportunities)
- Preparation of investment memorandums for investment and impact committees.
- Market Intelligence (ocean impact research, market studies)
- Support on communication and ecosystem events.
Profile required
- Master’s degree or master’s degree candidate, science or engineering degree valued.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Passionate about the environment and motivated to regenerate ocean health.
- Team player with solid interpersonal skills.
- English is needed, other languages will be valued.
- A truly autonomous person who is willing to take initiative.
